What is
smartvault?

SMARTVAULT (SV)

Is very similar to Dropbox. SV will allow you to upload your tax documents (i.e. Workbooks, W2's, 1099's, etc...) with your scanner or cell phone and drop it directly into your own personal, password protected, and encrypted SV account. This will enable you to "pick up" your completed Tax return electronically.

Why we chose SmartVault

Ensuring the safety of all of our clients is our top priority, emails are not 100% secure, and electronic identity theft is on the rise. Plus you have 24/7 access to your Tax information. Additionally, clients frequently ask for their Tax returns, a copy of a W2 for income verification, or numerous other requests requiring tax documents such as: refinancing a loan, renting a new apartment, or filing for unemployment. With SV you control your own files without the mercy of time if we happen to be on vacation!

SmartVault works on all platforms!

and as an added bonus:

no matter what State or Country you are in!!

uploading
documents to
smartvault?

The biggest hurdle for many of our clients is the necessity to scan and upload tax documents into SmartVault. First, we'd like to encourage you to think differently about where your documents "live" or can be accessed from.

HOW TO SAVE YOUR DOCUMENTS:

1. Create a Folder for each tax year on your computer and name it: XXYY Tax Documents

2. Most documents are accessible through the entities' online portals. Contact the issuer to see if you can create an online account to download documents into the folder you have created on your computer OR if they can securely email you those documents.

3. Fill out your Business and/or Personal Workbook, save it into the folder you have created on your computer.

4. Open your SmartVault account and upload your clearly named (and legible) tax documents and Workbook.

DOCUMENTS MUST BE CLEAR AND LEGIBLE.

WE URGE YOU NOT TO EMAIL ANY DOCUMENTS!
